how to: the very hungry caterpillar t-shirt
i didn’t feel it looked quite finished, so i personalized the back - same technique as above, cutting out the number 1 for Sam’s age with an added 1/4” around the perimeter. I then snipped the inside corners, folded + ironed the 1/4” edge down, then pinned the 1 to the back of the shirt. after using an invisible stitch to applique the 1, i wrote SAM with a micron and embroidered that. voila! it certainly took a good amount of time but Sam + his mama could tell how much love was put into it and all that hard work was very much appreciated
